At Quiqup we are reimagining the last mile, with a mission to organise and optimise the flow of
goods in and across cities. While we employ and manage a fleet of couriers, we are first a tech
company: we believe that every problem is an engineering problem, and that our success
requires building great software that both delight our clients and streamline our operations.
You will work on a broad range of solutions
- Assignment problem, matching couriers to orders under diverse service level constraints
- Order stacking, to multiply the utilisation of our fleet
- Capacity vehicle routing problem, for our moving warehouses
- Courier shift scheduling and positioning, to optimize the distribution of our fleet
- And of course, not as isolated systems but as an overarching optimisation problem, in a real time environment
You have a strong background in software engineering and operation research
- 2+ years in a back end engineering position, ideally solving similar discrete optimisation problems
- Experience in deploying models in production a strong plus
- A BSc in applied maths, comp sci or related quantitative field with strong electives in Operations Research
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise to business problems
- Proficiency in at least one object oriented and/or functional language, with a preference for Python
- Proficiency in SQL a strong plus
You are a great problem solver
- Extremely curious and eager to learn
- Structured, analytical yet outside the box thinking, able to identify and apply relevant
tools and methods from different fields to our specific needs
- Business oriented, with a genuine interest for the tech industry
It’s a great opportunity
- Optimisation is at the core of our business model, your impact will resonate throughout
the company
- We are managing our own logistics operations, you will interact directly with the users of
your solutions
- We have an open culture, you will be free to explore and promote your own ideas
